Learn How To Build Aerial Strength Without Equipment!

Welcome to No Equipment Conditioning!

A 4 Week Class Series teaching you how to train strength and conditioning for aerial skills when you don’t have access to equipment.

If every time you take a break from aerial or don’t have access to the studio you feel like you don’t know how to maintain your strength, let alone progress towards your goals, knowing how to train without equipment can be a game changer. 🎉

Make meaningful progress towards aerial skills off the apparatus!

This class series will cover a range of aerial skills from straight arm inverts to flares to C-shaping, specifically looking at how to effectively strengthen and condition without equipment. I’m including my favourite bodyweight drills that not only help with skill acquisition, but also cover concepts like leg tension, core engagement and compression strength, horizontal and vertical transitions, and movement pathway exploration.

We’ll be learning the following:

  • How to efficiently warm up for bodyweight training

  • How to use no equipment conditioning drills to assess limitations and areas that you can improve on

  • Straight arm pushing movements that can be used for cross training (and build stronger pulling)

  • Drills that will help you train towards inverts, meathooks, flares, C-shaping and beats

  • Building strength transitioning between horizontal and vertical positions on the floor

  • How to modify drills based on your level

  • Movement pathways on the floor

  • How to program training off the equipment

Each class is 75 minutes long and will be practical and led by Aerial Strength and Conditioning Coach Verity Bradford. You’ll receive feedback and be able to as questions throughout the sessions.

Along with each class you’ll receive sample programming so you can understand how to piece together effective training sessions without using equipment.

Here’s what each week’s classes and training will cover.

Week 1 - Straight Arm Inverts

In week 1 we will focus on straight arm inverts! We’ll cover transitioning from horizontal to vertical positions through pushing. We’ll look at full body movements that train the pathway, that challenge compression, and look at all of the different ways we can simulate parts of our invert on the floor.

Week 2 - Meathooks

In week 2 we’ll look at how we can work on meathooks using just our bodyweight. We’ll cover single arm pushing drills that help balance out single arm pulling, movements that involve rotation through the trunk, as well as compression and piking the legs diagonally.

Week 3 - Flares

In week 3 we’ll dive into flares, exploring the flare pathway on the floor. We’ll also use this class to focus on leg tension, and work on drills that challenge balance and lower body control.

Week 4 - C-Shaping And Beats

In week 4 we’ll look at both C-shaping and Beats. From exploring pathways to building better body awareness to challenging our core strength and control, this class will give you tools that can help you towards those harder skills in the air.

Who this class series is for:

- Aerialists who want to know how they can keep moving their aerial forwards when they don’t have access to equipment

- Aerialists who want to prioritise strength and conditioning in their practice

- Aerial coaches who are looking for more teaching tools for skill specific drills off the apparatus

Pre-requisites:

These classes will be suitable for all levels. I’ll be including easier and harder progressions for certain movements to accommodate this, but a lot of the movements will be super accessible and straight forward to learn.

What you’ll need:

Zero equipment! You just need enough floor space to be able to roll around on. 😁

  • No! It’s fine if you can only make a couple live or if you watch all of them on replay in your own time. I understand a lot of people join my classes from different timezones, so this is why everything is recorded.

  • Yes, you’ll have access to the recordings within 24 hours of the live class, and you have lifetime access to them.

  • You’ll need enough floor space for lying down and little bit of rolling around. If you’ve got very limited space I can help you adapt some of the movements if need be.

  • These classes are suitable for all levels including beginners! So if you’re relatively new to aerial there’s still plenty you’ll learn from the classes, and most exercises will be accessible to all levels.

  • You’ll come away with a much deeper knowledge and understanding of how to work towards skills in aerial without equipment. You’ll also understand how to effectively train each drill that I teach having been coached through them. You’ll also hopefully be able to feel stronger from our training together!

  • Both classes and the Level Up coaching are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
